FAQ
Who Can join the Gravesend Goddesses?
As long as you are over the age of 18 and are either female or from the LGBTQ+ Community, you are welcome to join the GGs
Are there any stipulations for joining?
As long as you are over the age of 18 and are physically able to perform dance routine activities for 1 hr, that is the stipulation. A medical form is required to be filled in before joining us; this is to make sure there are no complex medical needs where exertion may cause injury or distress. There may be some cases where your GP would need to sign off on admission to ensure the wellbeing of yourself.
I would love to join but I do not have the confidence
I can tell anybody right now, none of us walked into our first class full of confidence. whether we walked in on our own or with friends; we were terrified. Confidence comes with time and nurturing in a safe environment, we will provide that for you. For the majority of the GGs, we never looked back after taking our first step into the class. and that takes some balls xx
I have anxiety around large groups of people
Firstly our classes are space limited, the most amount of people per class is 18. Secondly we promote a safe, loving and supportive environment within our class space. Anybody found being derogatory, negative or judgemental within our collective will be immediately banned from attending classes.
Can I switch between attending Monday and Thursday Classes
Monday and Thursday classes will run the same routines, you are more than welcome to attend both if you wish at a discounted price. Unfortunately you will not be able to come and go between the classes as this will affect class structure and routines, especially if it is a troupe routine. So if you originally book on a Monday session, you will need to stay on Monday sessions for that 4 week routine.

I really want to show all my friends and share what I have done online, am I able to?
You are welcome to share your own individual videos as long as they are no longer than 60 seconds, and feature only yourself and no other participants without consent. Media consent forms are signed before admission to respect everybody's wishes, preferences and advise individuals to avoid any copyright infringement. Any public videos published are specially edited to keep in line with music copyright, and also intellectual property of the routines. Any breach of these advisories may result in a class ban.
I've booked onto sessions ahead of time and now I cannot make them
Please when you book onto sessions make sure that you can definitely 100% make them, especially where week one sessions are concerned. Pre-booking and not turning up can affect the routine structure, people miss out on spaces they could attend, there will be less funds to then put back into the group for equipment and future events. If it is shown that there are those who frequently pre-book and do not attend, there will be no choice but to suspend those from attending the classes.
