Beginner friendly burlesque
Release your inner Goddess
Beginner friendly burlesque classes- 4 week routines packed with sass and laughs. Learn a new routine every 4 weeks, using choreography, props, some chair and floorwork. All routines are choreographed with abilities in mind, and alternative segments are provided if individuals are not able. Props are not provided by instructor, but if there are spares you are welcome to borrow them
Workshops and events
Release your inner Goddess
Workshops - for those months heavy with bank holidays or under capacity for a full routine. We will go through any dance moves that may be a little tricky, safe transitions and flow. Mind and wellbeing just to get you through in our safe environment. Special events will be available to members on separate days throughout the year.
Classes cost £25 per 4 week routine, if classes are under capacity or 2 bank holidays on certain months, workshops will be held at a separate price.Taster sessions are available for new starters at £5, this is for week 1 only.Cancellations need to be atleast 24 hrs in advance and refunds only permitted if due to legitimate illness or exceptional circumstances.
Our History
Release your inner Goddess
The Gravesend Goddesses were formed in July 2021 by Jo Enright aka. The Ringmistress, the class worked and still works alongside @Burlesqueanddance every Monday and Thursday night 8pm-9pm at old Gravesendians Rugby Club.
All styles of Burlesque and dance routines are taken to, props such as; chairs, canes, boas, removable items used, and so much fun to be had. You will leave each class feeling like a million bucks.You don't need to be a certain size, look, have any previous dance experience to join our sisterhood.
As long as you are over 18 and medically able to do the classes, you will be welcomed with open arms and treated like you have always been a GG.
Over the last few years the class has grown and grown, many have come and gone, but most have stuck around. In April 2024 the affectionately named GGs performed in a first ever stage show, but it will definitely not be the last. For those who want to step into the limelight on stage, there will be future opportunities to showcase what we are made of.
In July 2024 our Mama GG Jo stepped into retirement from teaching but handed the beacon over to Charlotte; Miss Crimson Delight. Charlotte has been with the class from the beginning, and from being too shy to talk to anyone to now teaching a full class, she will be branching out to grow the GGs and prepping up a troupe of semi professional showgirls. So watch this space.

I am terrible at introductions so bear with me.Hi I am Charlotte aka. Miss Crimson Delight, I started burlesque dancing in August 2021 under my friend and instructor Jo aka. The Ringmistress. I was in one of the darkest chapters of my life, but Jo and dance classes gave me the lifeline I needed to pull myself through it to where I am now. I have always loved the old style showgirl mixed with modern day rockesque, which is exactly what I bring to our Monday and Thursday nights.The GGs have become my second family, we have danced, laughed and performed, bringing much needed light, love and sass to ourselves and others around us.
